Cooper Tacia General Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated VDC Coordinator to join our growing Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support the coordination and implementation of BIM models across construction projects. While primarily based in Raleigh, some travel to job sites will be required to support project needs and ensure effective coordination with field teams.
The VDC Coordinator will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and the VDC Manager to ensure models are accurate, code-compliant, and aligned with project design intent. Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the VDC Manager on projects assigned
· Review contract drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness
· Review of coordination, shop, fabrication drawings received from subcontractors
· Coordinate systems (underground to roof) for constructability, code compliance and design intent
· Develop an understanding of how each system operates and integrates with others
· Diagnosing problems and generating solutions to difficult construction-related coordination issues
· Utilize clash detection software (e.g., Navisworks) during the coordination process
· Assist VDC Manager in leading, documenting and coordinating meetings
· Attend Project Meetings and provide updates as needed
· Maintain and organize coordination files within Procore
· Generate RFI’s from Coordination Meetings
· Maintain clear project communication with the construction team throughout the coordination process
· Visit project sites as needed to verify field conditions and support coordination efforts
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or similar
· Strong understanding of BIM/VDC platforms (Revit, Navisworks preferred).
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
